Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate light machinery and hand tools for landscaping and construction projects
- Provide direct customer service to residents regarding municipal services
- Assist with emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Conduct safety inspections and report maintenance issues
- Support traffic control and public event setup/cleanup
- Maintain accurate records of work activities and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and varying weather
- Previous municipal or public service experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
