Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, mowers, and landscaping tools
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Conduct safety inspections of public spaces and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Participate in community outreach events and public forums
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices
- Experience with heavy equipment operation (dump trucks, mowers, etc.)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
