Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park grounds including mowing, landscaping, and trash removal
- Operate recreational equipment and facilities (pools, athletic courts, playgrounds)
- Assist with event setup and teardown for community festivals and sports leagues
- Conduct safety inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal beautification projects
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping tools and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred (training provided)
- Experience with park maintenance or recreation programs preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
