Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) for landscaping and upkeep projects
- Assist in storm drain cleaning, litter removal, and debris collection
- Support emergency response efforts during weather events or community incidents
- Conduct safety inspections of public areas and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in landscaping, maintenance, or public works
- Ability to operate hand tools and light mechanical equipment
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., pesticide application)
