Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and storm drains.
- Operate heavy machinery and light vehicles safely in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Monitor and report on the condition of public facilities and grounds to supervisors.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, answering inquiries and providing assistance.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and tools is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
