Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, loaders, and specialized machinery safely
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related events (snow removal, flooding)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure to identify potential hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project completion
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and physical fitness assessment
