Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, roads, and parks
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and excavators safely
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow, ice, floods) for public safety
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work activities and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
