Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy equipment safely for construction and repair projects
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal facilities and report maintenance needs
- Assist in emergency response efforts during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban beautification initiatives
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 90 days
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions with exposure to heat, humidity, and inclement weather
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and light equipment operation
