As a Municipal Worker, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our city, ensuring our streets are safe, our drainage systems function properly, and our public spaces remain clean and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and drainage infrastructure to ensure public safety.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including street sweepers, graders, and dump trucks.
- Perform routine inspections of public facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Respond to emergency service calls and public works requests during severe weather events.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Enforce city ordinances regarding waste management and code compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driverβs License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on-call rotation.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
