Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public parks.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as dump trucks, jackhammers, and mowers safely.
- Collect and dispose of trash, debris, and recyclable materials from municipal properties.
- Assist in storm debris removal and emergency maintenance response.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of public infrastructure to identify potential hazards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
