Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and mowing equipment
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety regulations
- Assist in community beautification and public space management
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical exam
