Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers.
- Inspect sewer lines, drainage systems, and water mains for blockages or damage.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Ensure all work sites comply with strict safety and environmental regulations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests from the public and city officials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License is mandatory.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating heavy machinery.
- Basic knowledge of construction or municipal maintenance practices is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
