Responsibilities
- Operate sanitation trucks and equipment for waste collection
- Perform street sweeping and snow removal operations
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and minor repairs
- Respond to emergency service calls during extreme weather
- Maintain public spaces and parks per municipal standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for city-wide initiatives
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and NYC safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid New York State driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Preferred: Prior equipment operation experience
