Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including sidewalks, roads, and public facilities
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as sweepers, mowers, and hand tools
- Execute debris removal, landscaping, and stormwater management tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards during all operations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records of completed tasks
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate public works projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or facility maintenance
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment handling
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
