Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned government facilities and premises during overnight hours to prevent security breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms with immediate action protocols
- Enforce access control procedures for all entry points and restricted areas
- Document security incidents, patrol activities, and maintenance concerns in detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations or investigations
- Conduct routine safety inspections and implement emergency response procedures
- Serve as first point of contact for after-hours emergencies and facility access requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience (government/military preferred)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Proficient in surveillance technology and reporting software
- Strong observational skills and crisis management capabilities
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
- Must be available to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
