Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to maintain security during night operations
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to prevent contraband, violence, and escape attempts
- Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security breaches with decisive action
- Document all incidents, observations, and disciplinary actions accurately in electronic logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transport and emergency response scenarios
- Conduct headcounts and searches to ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain communication protocols with day-shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred in criminal justice or related field
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Must be U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age
- Basic first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security field highly desirable
