Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security breaches
- Document incidents, reports, and daily logs with precision
- Screen visitors and packages for security compliance
- Operate security systems (e.g., CCTV, control panels)
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to restrain individuals if necessary
- Previous security/corrections experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
