Responsibilities
- Monitor facility premises and conduct regular security patrols during overnight hours
- Supervise inmate activities and enforce institutional policies and procedures
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches following protocol
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for administrative review
- Conduct headcounts and searches to ensure facility security
- Operate surveillance systems and access control equipment
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Physical ability to perform security duties including standing/walking for extended periods
- Previous security or corrections experience preferred
