Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with tactical precision
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate reports
- Screen visitors and incoming packages for contraband
- Collaborate with day shift officers for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 21 years of age with U.S. citizenship
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
