Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts
- Maintain accurate incident and observation reports
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during emergencies
- Train in defensive tactics and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Physical fitness for restraint procedures and patrols
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Previous security or corrections experience preferred
