Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and perimeter checks to prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with swift action
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Coordinate with day-shift staff for seamless transition of critical information
- Conduct headcounts and ensure compliance with correctional standards

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
