Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and headcounts to prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for documentation
- Collaborate with day shift staff for seamless operations handover
- Enforce safety protocols during inmate transportation and medical emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class 'D' Security Officer license
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean criminal background
- Ability to pass physical fitness and psychological evaluations
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Previous correctional or law enforcement experience preferred
- Must be available for rotating night shift schedule (6PM-6AM)
