Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate with patrol units, fire departments, and medical services during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment to transmit clear, concise information to field personnel
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident documentation
- Utilize mapping software for precise location tracking and resource deployment
- Remain calm under pressure during crisis situations including medical emergencies and active incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- US citizenship and valid New Mexico driver's license
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making abilities
