Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and customer service focus
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training on security protocols
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for checkpoint systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- No felony convictions or recent misdemeanors
