Responsibilities
- Maintain security and order in correctional facilities during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular inmate counts and surveillance rounds
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Document incidents and maintain accurate logs
- Screen visitors and control facility access points
- Implement rehabilitation programs as assigned
- Collaborate with day shift personnel for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class E driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Physical fitness to handle emergency situations
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- US citizenship and minimum 21 years of age
- No felony convictions
