Responsibilities
- Monitor emergency systems and dispatch resources during overnight hours
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies for incident response protocols
- Update emergency plans and conduct risk assessments for night-time operations
- Train personnel in nighttime emergency procedures and equipment usage
- Prepare daily briefings for day-shift transition and leadership review
- Conduct facility security checks and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Document incidents and maintain accurate emergency response records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in emergency response or government operations
- FEMA certifications (NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800) required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency management software
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
