Responsibilities
- Monitor and dispatch emergency response units (police, fire, medical) during night operations.
- Receive and process emergency calls efficiently and accurately using CAD systems.
- Maintain strict logs of all communications and incidents for legal and reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with external agencies and field units to ensure seamless response protocols.
- Perform routine checks of communication equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Handle high-stress situations with composure and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in emergency dispatch, call centers, or public safety is highly desirable.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with dispatch software (e.g., CAD, RMS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
