Responsibilities
- Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Access Control: Verify credentials of all personnel and visitors, maintaining strict adherence to security protocols and access lists.
- Incident Response: Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding immediately to any disturbances, emergencies, or suspicious activities.
- Report Writing: Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed logs or reports for review by security management.
- Emergency Procedures: Assist in the evacuation of the facility during emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement or fire departments when necessary.
- Compliance: Enforce safety rules and regulations, ensuring all government policies regarding security and safety are upheld.
- Visitor Assistance: Provide professional assistance to visitors and employees, answering inquiries and directing traffic within the facility.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional security certifications (e.g., Level II Security Guard License) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and government officials.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs if necessary.
- Background Check: Must pass a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and criminal history check.
