Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans with precision, ensuring compliance with OPM and ERISA regulations
- Process complex retirement benefit calculations for federal employees across all agencies
- Respond to urgent overnight inquiries from retirees via secure communication channels
- Conduct audit reviews of pension disbursements and financial records
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during emergency benefit disbursements
- Maintain confidential data systems with 100% accuracy under HIPAA guidelines
- Generate comprehensive reports for quarterly federal compliance audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of federal benefits or pension administration experience
- Expert knowledge of CSRS/FERS systems and OPM regulations
- Advanced proficiency in federal benefit software (e.g., BENEFITS)
- SSBI clearance or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Exceptional analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
