Responsibilities
- Monitor City Systems: Oversee and maintain the digital infrastructure for public safety and utility monitoring systems during off-peak hours.
- Data Management: Accurately input, verify, and report government data and metrics to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Incident Response: Respond to after-hours alerts and emergency notifications, escalating critical issues to the appropriate morning shift personnel.
- Report Generation: Compile daily operational reports and logs, ensuring all documentation is archived and accessible for audit purposes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all night shift operations adhere to strict Oakland city ordinances and safety protocols.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for night shift vendors and contractors, facilitating smooth handovers at the start and end of shifts.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in government operations, administrative support, or a related public sector role.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as required for government employment.
