Responsibilities
- Monitor server infrastructure, network traffic, and system performance during night shifts to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Execute routine system maintenance, patch management, and backup procedures to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues with minimal supervision and escalate critical alerts.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity protocols and data protection laws.
- Document system logs, incident reports, and maintenance activities for day-shift review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve system efficiency.
- Respond to emergency system outages and perform disaster recovery procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Active Security+ or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in 24/7 operations or night shift environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and remote monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal/state role.
