Responsibilities
- Monitor Infrastructure: Perform continuous monitoring of servers, network devices, and applications to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Incident Management: Respond to and troubleshoot alerts and tickets generated during off-hours using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- System Maintenance: Execute scheduled patching, backups, and system updates during low-traffic periods.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and incident reports regarding system performance and outages.
- Communication: Escalate critical issues to on-call senior engineers and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to state cybersecurity protocols and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent military technical training.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network operations.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and standard diagnostic tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
