Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Oversee server health, network traffic, and security alerts during the night shift to ensure zero downtime.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported during off-hours, escalating critical problems to day-shift staff when necessary.
- Security Compliance: Enforce government security protocols, conduct vulnerability scans, and manage access logs for restricted areas.
- Data Backups: Execute scheduled backups and verify data integrity to prevent data loss.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine checks and minor repairs on printers, workstations, and peripherals.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of night-shift activities, incidents, and system changes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government background check (Secret clearance preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work nights (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP).
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
