Responsibilities
- Conduct nighttime health inspections of food establishments and public facilities
- Respond to after-hours public health emergencies and incidents
- Collect environmental samples and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate with emergency response teams during off-hours incidents
- Provide public health education to night-shift workers and businesses
- Monitor compliance with health codes during non-traditional business hours
- Prepare comprehensive reports for day-shift follow-up
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2+ years of regulatory inspection or public health experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently during night hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong analytical skills for complex after-hours incident assessment
- Certified Food Protection Manager preferred
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and traverse uneven terrain in low-light conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
