Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and dispatch emergency services (police, fire, EMS) during night shifts
- Maintain precise radio communication with field units using CAD systems
- Document incident reports with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate emergency alert systems and weather warning protocols
- Provide crisis intervention to callers in high-stress situations
- Conduct regular equipment checks and system diagnostics
- Participate in continuous training on emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 1-year customer service or emergency response experience
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10PM-6AM)
- EMT or dispatch certification strongly preferred
