Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection testing
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes for compliance with TSA regulations
- Operate advanced security technology and maintain equipment calibration
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious activity with appropriate protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of security screening activities
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions and clean employment history
