Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and bag inspections following TSA protocols
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious behavior, and security threats
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers during screening processes
- Maintain accurate screening logs and documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Adhere to all TSA SOPs and security directives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Transportation Security Clearance (TSA CUI)
- Stand/walk for 4-6 hours continuously in high-traffic environments
- Pass medical examination including drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
