Responsibilities
- Manage 911 emergency calls and dispatch police/fire/EMS resources during overnight hours
- Maintain precise radio communication with first responders using CAD/RMS systems
- Enter and update critical incident data in NCIC and local databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies and disasters
- Operate emergency notification systems for public safety alerts
- Document all communications according to NC state protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Experience with multi-line phone systems or CAD software
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Shift flexibility for rotating night schedules
