Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and dispatch police, fire, and medical units with precision
- Maintain detailed incident logs in CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical instructions
- Monitor surveillance systems for city infrastructure
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports and statistical analyses
- Train on advanced emergency protocols and de-escalation techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 1 year public safety dispatch experience
- National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems (e.g., Motorola, VisionAIR)
- Ability to work rotating night shifts with minimal supervision
