Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume emergency calls (911/311) with precision and composure
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation in NCIC/NCIC databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency medical protocols
- Operate radio equipment and emergency notification systems
- Perform quality assurance call reviews for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 25 WPM typing certification
- Valid NC driver's license (no DUI convictions in past 5 years)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum 1-year customer service experience
- NCIC/NCIC certification within 6 months of hire
- EMD/EPP certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6PM-6AM)
