Responsibilities
- Manage 911 emergency calls with exceptional composure and prioritization during overnight hours
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses with precision using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio communications protocols
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical guidance to callers
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams during major incidents and disaster responses
- Operate specialized emergency notification systems for city-wide alerts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years emergency dispatch experience
- NCLEC or APCO certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Exceptional multitasking abilities under high-pressure scenarios
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD/RMS software
- Ability to work rotating night shifts including weekends/holidays
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
