Responsibilities
- Manage 911 calls and radio communications during overnight hours
- Dispatch emergency services (police, fire, EMS) with pinpoint accuracy
- Maintain detailed incident logs in CAD/RMS systems
- Cross-train in multiple emergency response protocols
- Collaborate with state agencies during major incidents
- Conduct shift briefings and equipment checks
- Participate in quarterly emergency simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- 1+ years dispatch/emergency services experience
- Valid POST Public Safety Dispatcher certification
- Typing speed 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- NIMS/ICS 100/200 certifications
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and polygraph
- US citizenship and clean driving record
