Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city facilities during overnight hours to prevent security breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond immediately to alerts or incidents
- Enforce city ordinances and state laws with authority as a sworn officer
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Coordinate with emergency services during critical incidents
- Conduct routine safety inspections of public properties
- Provide emergency response support during natural disasters or civil emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Peace Officer certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional security training
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision overnight
- Valid Class C Oregon driver's license with clean record
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
