Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city areas during night shifts to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alerts in real-time
- Document incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain digital evidence logs
- Coordinate with emergency services (fire, EMS) during overnight crisis situations
- Secure government facilities and critical infrastructure during low-traffic hours
- Conduct routine safety inspections of public spaces after dark
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and security protocol updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision overnight
- Basic certification in first aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to remain alert and responsive during extended night shifts
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
