Responsibilities
- Monitor city surveillance systems and respond to emergency calls during night shift hours
- Patrol designated areas to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Document incidents and maintain accurate activity logs for day shift handovers
- Coordinate with other city departments during after-hours emergencies
- Provide first aid and crisis intervention until backup arrives
- Conduct security checks at municipal facilities overnight
- Participate in specialized night shift training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 2 years of law enforcement or public safety experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear background check and polygraph examination
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment and emergency vehicles
