Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, including accidents, disturbances, and medical incidents
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Document incidents using digital reporting systems with precise attention to detail
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during critical incidents and disaster response
- Conduct regular safety checks of public infrastructure and commercial properties
- Maintain radio communication with dispatch and fellow officers throughout shift
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years security, military, or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and polygraph examination
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident reporting software
- Exceptional situational judgment and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
