Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city areas during night hours to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and citizen requests during overnight shifts
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation of all activities
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services for coordinated responses
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct security checks at critical infrastructure sites
- Enforce city ordinances, state laws, and traffic regulations during night operations
- Provide assistance to citizens and businesses during nighttime emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 2 years of law enforcement or public safety experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in emergency response protocols
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Flexibility to work rotating night schedules and respond to off-hour emergencies
