Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned city facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations with appropriate protocols
- Conduct access control checks and verify credentials for authorized personnel
- Maintain detailed incident logs and security reports using government systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during critical events
- Perform routine equipment inspections and facility security assessments
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations within assigned areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; security certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Washington State Guard Card and firearms permit (if applicable)
- Ability to obtain government security clearance
- Strong communication skills and de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Ability to work independently in low-light conditions with minimal supervision
- U.S. citizenship and clean criminal background check required
