Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones overnight to deter criminal activity and maintain public order
- Respond rapidly to emergency calls, accidents, and service requests during night hours
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with day shift officers for seamless transition of critical information
- Monitor surveillance systems and secure government facilities during overnight operations
- Enforce city ordinances and state laws with professionalism and impartiality
Qualifications
- Must be U.S. citizen with valid Tennessee driver's license
- Minimum 21 years old with clean criminal background
- Tennessee POST certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Strong physical fitness and ability to pass department fitness assessment
- Experience with law enforcement technology and communication systems
