Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure designated government facilities using advanced surveillance systems during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Conduct regular patrols to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security protocols
- Respond immediately to security alerts, alarms, and emergency situations with decisive action
- Maintain detailed incident reports and activity logs for governmental compliance
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incident response
- Operate metal detectors, X-ray scanners, and access control systems
- Enforce safety regulations for employees and visitors during non-standard hours
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification or equivalent security clearance
- Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement, corrections, or federal security
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Proficiency with CCTV systems, alarm monitoring, and access control software
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure during overnight operations
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
